red flower is located at
13 prince street, new york city.
consider it a park. a place to let your eyes wander
and your mind float. a space that is lived-in and alive.
a diorama behind glass with three focal points – the
terrarium, the totem pole and the floating sink. much
of its beauty is to be discovered. there is a sense
of a well-lived past transformed. found furniture is
reconstructed into fixtures – one-foot cube time
capsules which float from blue glass. individual worlds
that come together with the totem pole to tell a story
and to display “pocket clutter” in creating the space.
we chose to collaborate with leeds certified architect scott kruger, who understood the red flower organic method – being comfortable with the unknown and taking time to let ideas unfold. the working relationship being such that inspiration didn’t come from one place or one idea, but from a cultivation of ideas over time. for all of us the project is a leap of faith.
join us for a tea, a mate tasting, an experience,
a sharing of words. or just leave a totem.
small and personal.
